One Hundred
Groundstrokes Consistency
Tennis Game
Two players (A and B) start a competitive rally from the baseline. It begins with a drop-and-hit.
Players (or the coach) count the number of times the ball travels over the net during the rally.
The player who wins gets a number of points equal to the number of times the ball passed over the net during the rally.
Example: If they hit 22 shots over the net, the winner receives 22 points. If the next rally is won by the other player and, let’s say, the ball passed over the net 14 times, the score is now 22-14; and so on… Add the number of points from each rally they win.
Play first to win 100 points.
Note:
– Excellent drill for groundstrokes consistency under pressure.
– An extra player or coach should assist with counting the number of times the ball travels over the net.
