Three for Three
Tennis Game for Doubles Players
One team of two players (A-B) positions at the baseline. The rest of the players, on the opposite side, pair up and form a line behind the baseline. The coach (F) is on the same side as the defending team (A-B) - see graphic below.
Game:
1. The coach sends a short ball to the first team in line (C-D). They move up to the net and play the point against team A-B. The winner receives 1 point.
2. Next, the coach will send a volley ball to the team at the net (C-D). Teams play it out and the winner earns another point.
3. The last feed is a lob for team C-D (still at the net). The point is played out.
If team A-B wins two points before C-D, they stay put and play another game against the next team in line. But if the offensive team (C-D) wins two points first, they replace team A-B (at the baseline, opposite side).
Teams have 5 seconds to change positions to keep a good flow of the game and avoid waiting in line for too long.
